 ‘Gossip Girl’ Katie Cassidy Ate Cake for 15 Hours Straight

Gossip Girl’s Katie Cassidy (24) wants to share a food story:

“I’m a healthy eater and before I went to Budapest I was experimenting being vegan and had been vegan for like six months, and Budapest is like, literally goulash and pulled pork. And day one on the set, the directer came up to me and was like, ‘How do you feel about cake? Can you eat cake in this scene?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, actually it would be really funny if my character was scarfing down cake in this scene.’

“So little did I realize that this actual scene took 15 hours to shoot, so I was eating cake for 15 hours straight and I ate two full cakes to myself.” And Cassidy spent the following three weeks in pain as a result. She adds, “I’m telling you, when you go from being vegan to eating cake like that, your bowels are frozen for probably three weeks!”

Stepping out for promotional duties, Selena Gomez was all smiles at The Grove in Hollywood on Tuesday (November 9).

The "Wizards of Waverly Place" cutie joined Mario Lopez as she partook in an interview for the entertainment television news program "Extra".

Meanwhile, Selena recently spoke out about reports claiming that she's been feuding with recently-troubled Disney star Demi Lovato.


Talking to Latina magazine, Selena said, "You can't care [about reports like that]. It's really toxic what they do to girls in the industry."

Also commenting on Lindsay Lohan's woes, Gomez told, "I don't think anybody should be mean because you never understand what's someone is going through. And it is partly [this] business, because it is crazy and hectic. So I think that nobody should be rude. If this were a normal person, you wouldn't be so judgmental. I feel like people shouldn't judge as much, they should give their sympathy."

Tending to her holiday appearance duties, Selena Gomez closed out the weekend at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on Sunday (November 7).

The "Wizards of Waverly Place" darling happened to be on-hand to perform for the taping of "Winter Wonderland" as part of the 2010 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.


Decked out in Christmastime colors, Miss Gomez was joined by the chipmunks as she belted out tunes for a group of gathered spectators.

As for the show, fans can tune in on Christmas Day (December 25) when the Disney show airs on ABC.

Selena Gomez Visits Sin City for Shriners Hospitals

Situated in Sin City for charitable endeavors, Selena Gomez was among the performers at Justin Timberlake & Friends Concert a Special Evening Benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children in Las Vegas on Saturday night (October 23).

Joined by her bandmates, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" cutie swapped from a casual top and jeans into a dazzling silver mini dress before taking the stage at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino fundraiser.

With host Justin Timberlake, as well as Christina Aguilera and T-Pain, among the other acts, the concert coincided with the "Sexy Back" singer's annual Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf tournament.

Tweeting her appreciation over being included in the weekend charity event, Selena happily wrote, "Ahhh Vegas was amazing! Thank you so much Justin for letting me be apart of your charity!"
