It was a double shot of bad news today for Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian. First, it seems their clothing line -less than a year old – with Bebe may be on the line. Bebe president said to WWD about the possibility of dropping the line:

“The sisters do still have relevance. We need to move with fashion and we want to be first in the fashion world with everybody else and not fall behind. We are definitely assessing the situation.”

Then the NY Times ‘critical shopper’ column blasted their new DASH store in NYC. The scathing review:

“Dash is a fashion desert, just oodles of drippy cowl necks and embellished cap sleeves and synthetic fibers. Clothes are essentially split into two categories of fit: vacuum-sealed and hot-air balloon. The overpriced clothes, including an animal print dress for $308 and a hat for $430, seemed questionable at best. You could wear this look, in the same way you could hire an enthusiastic 5-year-old as your stylist.

Not all of the boutique’s items are so costly. In an area the column dubs “the gift shop,” visitors can purchase a Dash-branded water with a picture of the sisters for a mere $10, Kardashian tanning products, and QuikTrim products hawked by Kim.

“As in most theme parks, there wasn’t anything worth carrying away but memories.”

Ouch! That seems a bit..harsh? Have you been in any of the DASH stores? Do you agree with the columnist? I’m sure the girls are too worried, they are amassing quite a fortune and the deals just keeping rolling in.

Khloe Kardashian Blasted For Airport ‘Rape’ Comments

Well, that didn’t take long. Khloe Kardashian is being called on the carpet for her comments about the new pat down procedures at the airport. So far at least three different groups – including attorney Gloria Allred – have responded to Khloe’s strong statements on her experience with the procedure.
Gloria Allred:

“Rape is a crime of violence,” Allred told RadarOnline.com. “I believe that the word should not be used loosely to describe security measures at airports or at any other place. I think that many victims of sexual assault who have been the true victims of men who committed that violent crime against them and who have been forced to suffer the physical and emotional harm that results from that crime would be insulted that the term would be used in the way that Ms. Kardashian used it.

Also speaking out was the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center:

“I think it was an ill-informed thing for her to say. It was a very strong comment to make because rape is defined as ‘forceful penetration’ and a lot of young women look up to celebrities like the Kardashians. We are all about educating people about rape at our Center and by using the word in this context it blurs the issue as to what it actually constitutes. Maybe Khloe Kardashian is not educated enough on this subject to be talking about it in the context of airport security.”

Khloe Kardashian sat down on The George Lopez show and made no mistake about her distaste for the recent TSA security pat-down measures that have been put in place.

“Well, they basically are just raping you in public,” she said.

“I got asked the other day, do you want to go for a screening or get patted down. I don’t want that X-Ray to see everything, honey.

“But the people are so aggressive. Its like, ‘Chill out, you didn’t find anything on me yet, calm down. “They say, ‘OK, I’m going to be patting you down and I’m going to be touching the crease of your ass.’ That is so inappropriate.”

“And they are so aggressive and forceful.”

You know, I think that if a pat down will save my life and make flying safer for all of us, I’m ok with it!

I have a feeling that Khloe Kardashian might not get the nicest reception the next time she has to take a flight somewhere! Let me know what you think of her comments!
